GETTING STARTED

Wiring Connectors
You will find input connectors and output connectors included in the box with each Connect Series amplifier.
These connectors have printed polarity labels to help you quickly wire the positive, negative, and ground connections.
You will also find an input connector that does not have polarity labels printed on it. This is the External I/O connector. You can wire this connector to an external On/Off switch to quickly switch the unit on or off.
You can also wire this connector to an external LED bulb to display a Fault Status Heart Beat. This will create a blinking LED that indicates a healthy status. When the LED is not lit, this indicates a fault that should be investigated.
Wiring Your Connectors

Working With RCA/XLR Cables
For integrators using RCA or XLR input sources, we offer two accessory cables to convert your RCA and XLR inputs to Amphenol Anytek input connectors in order to plug them directly into the amplifier. Additionally, you can wire your own XLR or RCA to Amphenol Anytek Input connectors by following the guides shown below (scroll to bottom).

Installing With or Without a Rack
Rotate the rack ears on our CONNECTSERIES amplifiers to suit the needs of any installation. Turn them up or down to install amps to the top or bottom of tables and bars or against walls and other flat surfaces. Leave them facing forward for standard rack mounting as well.
All you need to install amps anywhere is a Torx 10 drill bit or screwdriver to remove the six screws holding on the two rack ears.
Once removed, you can rotate the rack ears to your desired mounting position and screw them back in.
We also have additional racking accessories available for purchase. Our Rear Rack Supports (LEA Part # MFM10003-1) will provide additional rack stability.
These brackets can be attached to the back of the amplifier to provide additional support when connected to rear rack rails.

Connecting in Wired Mode
The CONNECTSERIES family of amplifiers have the ability to connect to any network via Wired Mode using Cat5 or Cat6 cables. Connecting to your amplifier via Wired Mode allows you to control, monitor, and configure your CONNECTSERIES amplifier from any PC, tablet, or mobile phone using our Web UI.
Connecting in Wired Mode

Connecting In Access Point Mode
The CONNECTSERIES family of amplifiers are able to utilize a built-in wireless access point, to connect and configure amplifier settings. Using AP Mode to connect to the CONNECTSERIES amplifiers is great for quick amplifier setup when there is no pre-existing network to connect to. In AP Mode you can only connect and control one amplifier at a time. AP Mode is also a good way to quickly access the amplifier’s network settings in order to configure it for connection via a standard Wi-Fi network.
Connecting in Access Point Mode

Connecting in Wi-Fi Mode
The CONNECTSERIES family of amplifiers can be connected to a network using Wi-Fi Mode. Amplifiers with Wi-Fi provide an easy method of connectivity for installations that don’t already have an infrastructure of network cables accessible. When all of your amplifiers are networked with Wi-Fi, you’ll be able to enter the IP address from any individual amp into a web browser and instantly monitor and control all amplifiers connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

3rd Party APIs
Download all available 3rd Party Control Drivers
Integrators using LEA products have access to two Open API protocols. The first utilizes Websockets and the second is TCP-based.
All control and sensor elements in the amplifier Web UI can be connected to in both API’s. This includes all DSP parameters, level meters, clip and fault indicators, power supply information, and many other items.
WEBSOCKETS OPEN API
The WebSocket API is geared more toward software and web programmers who are looking to integrate the CONNECTSERIES amplifiers with custom-developed software.
It communicates with a JSON-RPC command and response structure and supports GET, SET, SUBSCRIBE, UNSUBSCRIBE, and INFO commands.
TCP-BASED OPEN API
The TCP protocol is aimed at more common integrations with third-party professional AV equipment.
It supports GET, SET, SUBSCRIBE, and UNSUBSCRIBE commands. Many control and DSP products in the pro AV industry can easily send and receive TCP commands with basic programming.

802.1X
The LEA CONNECTSERIES has the ability to deploy EAP-TLS, PEAP, as well as EAP-TTLS 802.1X on a Local Area Network with a RADIUS Server.
The main benefits of an 802.1X network are to:
- Protect Data and Equipment from a cyberattack
- Preventing rogue devices from connecting to the local network and releasing viruses, malware, or allowing man-in-the-middle attacks
802.1X is an IEEE Standard for Port-Based Network Access Control that provides protected authentication for devices on the network and provides secure network access. Many Fortune 500 companies, University campuses, and large multi-region companies rely on 802.1X secured networks to prevent unauthorized devices from gaining access on their networks.
